Andrea L. Shapiro, Esquire
Ms. Shapiro focuses her practice primarily on areas of family law. In addition to being a litigator, Ms. Shapiro is also trained as a mediator and a collaborative lawyer, and works with each client, to determine what is in that client's best interests, when involved in a family law matter.
Ms. Shapiro was formerly an associate with the law firm of Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., P.A., where her primary area of practice was family law, although she handled a variety of civil, criminal and appellate cases. Prior to working with Senator Miller, Ms. Shapiro was a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen G. Chappelle, of the Circuit Court for Charles County. While attending law school, Ms. Shapiro worked with the Office of the Public Defender, in Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau.
Ms. Shapiro graduated, cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Shapiro attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Simmons College, in Boston, Massachusetts, from which she graduated with Honors.
Ms. Shapiro is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland. She represents clients in a variety of venues, including both District and Circuit courts in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince Geroge's and St. Mary's counties, and the Court of Special Appeals. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Ms. Shapiro is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Prince George's County Bar Association, and both the Maryland State and Prince George's County Women's Bar Associations, as well as the American Bar Association. Ms. Shapiro is also a certified mediator.
Michelle L. Tucker
Ms. Tucker has worked in the arena of family law for a number of years. Although she cannot provide legal advise, she is always ready to assist individuals in whatever way she can, whether by tracking down a crucial document, monitoring ongoing cases, or simply lending a sympathetic ear.
